Post Wedding

OK...

so we've been married 1.5 years now... and we still haven't:

1. Chosen photos! (LOL... somehow life really gets in the way!!!)
2. Sorted out the DVDs for our wedding and pass it on to my family.

BUT, we finally got around to choosing the wedding video highlights for Singapore and also the 'berinai' (henna painting day + rehearsal) and here they are:

Will have to give this blog some loving soon!

Ipoh Wedding Highlights

When I found out BeeHunt couldn't make it on 1 January 2011, I frantically googled and ask my friends for alternatives and finally found Shutterspeak recommended by my old school friend Shaliz!

I fell in love with their work! Things worked out perfectly as they came to Perth for a different shoot and we could 'tumpang sekaki' (slot in a time with them).

Here's the wedding highlights video of the ceremony and receptions in Ipoh with some intermittent shots of Perth. What made it so much more special was that Fozz sang the wedding video song :)

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the finish product! I feel that much love was put into this! :)

Enjoy!

P.S. Watch out for the part where THREE NOT-SO-LITTLE BIRDS came into the frame at that most appropriate timing! :)

Pre-wedding video

Written by Nadhirah

This video was shot in Perth by BeeHunt and had been edited to perfection by them.

I discovered BeeHunt through my friend, Raja Nadia Sabrina who used them as her engagement videographers. I immediately contacted them and wanted them to be a part of the wedding.

Unfortunately, someone else had booked them for 1 January 2011, so instead we obtained their services for the
1. 'pre-wedding montage'
2. the day before the wedding for rehearsals, preparations, henna party and so nots
3. and for the Singapore reception on 9 January 2011.

This video was supposed to have been aired at the Ipoh dinner reception, unfortunately due to technical difficulties, only one video was shown and this video could not be shown. But, we managed to showcase it at the Singapore reception :)

Here it is, ENJOY:

p.s. I think some shots I look horrendously fat and my nose looks like one of those noses from 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', but I still LOVE IT!

The Wedding - Part 1

Written by Nadhirah

6.45am

My mum bursts into my room.
"TASHA!!! It's 6.45am! Kak Ami (Mak Andam/Make-up Artist) will be here in 5 minutes!"
"Mummy you're lying! My phone alarm hasn't rang" as I pulled my blankets even tighter. However, after a couple of minutes, I decided to check the time, just in case. I woke up with a start! Rushed to the bathroom and showered! As I was still wrapped in my robe and towel, hair dripping wet, Kak Ami and her assistant had arrived.
Jeez... what a typical start I thought to myself... even on my wedding day I slept through the ALARM!

And what do you know... there was an Iphone Alarm Bug that started on 2011. Funnily enough, Chee and Sheryl both my bridesmaids had the same issue! Thankfully we all managed to get up!

7 days...

Written by Nadhirah:

On top of all the wedding stress, my dad is in the hospital and will undergo an operation sometime around 10am today.
Please keep him and us in your prayers.

At about the same time in Penang, my niece, my dad's first grandchild, is getting married. It's really quite upsetting for the family and we're all feeling rather torn. However, my dad is in pain and he wants to get well as soon as he can, and of course we cannot cancel a wedding!

So GOOD LUCK to Farhanah and Ezrie!!! Wishing you all the best, the happiest of life and a most wonderful marriage!

To my Daddy... please stay strong as you are always. Please be stubborn about getting better. I want so much for you to be there and give me away on 1 Jan 2011...

Eid Mubarak / Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Adha & 45 days!!!

YES...

It is only 45 days to 'the' day... can you imagine? I can't!
LOT has happened since 55 days ago when I posted some quick pictures on the 100 day count down.

4th October 2010 was a tragic day for us, whilst we were in Singapore to sort out wedding stuff, without warning, Fozz's father left us to join the Almighty. It came so suddenly and we were definitely unprepared emotionally, but we were thankful to the Almighty for allowing us to spend the last few days of his life together with him. Fozz and the family are still recovering from the loss and saddened by the fact that he will not be around for the wedding but God works in mysterious ways. His last advice given to us over breakfast on Saturday will not be forgotten.

Now that you're getting married, whatever social commitments you have on the outside, like your band and friends, will now have to be given up by about 50% because that 50% now belongs to Tasha and vice versa, because marriage is something you need to work on continuously.

I know this sounds pretty basic to most people, so I think only for people who have been around to witness the dynamics of our relationship will understand the impact of this. We will persevere to remember and work on.

We had considered cancelling or postphoning the reception, but after much consultation and thought, we realised, that Fozz's father, had been one of the ones who was most excited about the wedding, and we are sure he would be disappointed had we not continued with our plans.

There's still quite a bit more to do for the wedding for SURE... but things are falling into place slowly..... slowllllyyyyy... hahahaha..
