Accomodation

Fozzil and Nadhirah prepared this page to help our non-local guests find suitable accommodation. Again we thank you for making the trip for our wedding. We really appreciate it.

IPOH

Being a small city, choices for accommodation is slightly limited.
Nevertheless here's a list to help you out.
Most of the hotels listed here should cost around AUD50 or less a night, however, as it is 'peak' season, they might feel the need to have a 'surcharge'!

In the middle of ‘town’ nonetheless close enough to the wedding location.
3.5 star
In the middle of ‘town’ newest hotel in the list, close to the location of the wedding. Convenient for food.

Close to the wedding location, however rooms are old and apparently hygiene is not up to standard. Not recommended. Nonetheless excellent views of the race course.

Boutique hotel in an old colonial house with themed rooms. Rooms start at RM600++

Highly exclusive, brand new retreat in Ipoh. 20-25 minutes drive from the wedding location. Surrounded by natural hot springs.
Having coffee at this place would be a great experience despite it being slight pricey as the restaurant is in an actual cave. After all, Ipoh is known for its limestone hills.
Rooms start at RM1800++

Close to the wedding location. Clean but without much facilities.

In the middle of ‘town’ however still close enough to the wedding location. Has a refurbished wing. Upon booking ensure that you request for refurbished rooms otherwise it is rather old.

Close to Tower Regency, not quite recommended for the rooms although they have an excellent Massage and Foot Reflexology downstairs.

SINGAPORE

Being a big, modern city with one of the best transport systems in the world, it will not be difficult for you to get around in Singapore. It will also be quite easy for you to travel to the wedding venue, regardless where you decide to stay. But for the sake of convenience and to ensure that you get the best location in terms of accessibility, do consider locations like the city centre (City Hall and Orchard Road area) and the East Coast area.

Price for a decent hotel centrally located starts from SGD$120 for a twin sharing. To check exchange rates, you can use OANDA

As there are heaps of budget, international, and boutique hotels to choose from, we recommend that you try some of these sites to compare rates

The wedding reception/dinner in Singapore is yet to be confirmed, but tentatively it will be at the Tampines Changkat Community Centre.

Due to booking procedures, we are unable to confirm this until August 2010 (although we are already first in queue on the wait-list). We will update this site to inform all guests once this is locked-in.

If you like a certain hotel but you are not certain of its proximity to the wedding venue or shopping areas / other attractions, please do not hesitate to let us know via this site or email, and we will help you.
